This week we had a wonderful time on our school trip to Legoland. We enjoyed taking part in a Lego workshop where we worked together to build a Lego map of the world and learned about all of the continents and oceans. Next we went on some really fun rides before taking a tour of Miniland. We hope you enjoy looking at the photos of our day.
We have been using books and the internet to research animals that live in the Rainforest. We made notes about the information we found out and then used Purple Mash to make our own information posters about these animals. By Ore and Joel During some free time some of the artists in our class decided to draw portraits of one another with some striking resemblances!
This half term our topic is The Rainforest. This week we have been researching information about which countries have Rainforests and what it would be like to live in the Rainforest. We worked together to make a giant jigsaw of the world and found the countries that we have been learning about.
Mrs Russell read us a story this week called 'Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish' by Michael Foreman. It made us think about our environment and how we should look after the world around us. Mrs Russell then set us a challenge to think about how we could recycle our rubbish and turn it into art. It was amazing to see all of the different things we could make from items that we would normally just throw away. |
